Into week one of getting back on my weight loss grind. Still no sugar. Had some Frosted Flakes yesterday and it made me so sick. My system was like, "No, baybee." Hahaha. I was ill for quite a while. Still, I've been working out pretty well. Been hitting up the gym after work. Downloaded an app to help keep me motivated. Think I may need to downgrade on the cheese as well except maybe, string cheese. Haven't had any pasta though I did succumb to the allure of tater tots.
I'm pretty much implementing portion control and no sugar to start. If I go too strict at the start, I'm concerned that I'll be more likely to stick with it. Tortilla's provide me with bread fix, being low calorie, good amount of protein in a carb, but not too carby. Working it. Pretzels are still a snack I love, but the carbs, oh the carbs. I 'm doing fruit in moderation not baking at all, cause I did some hella baking during the holidays.
My goal is entirely attainable. Doing more cardio. The more cardio I do, the easier it'll be and the more I'll enjoy it. Right now, it's a trial just because I get bored easily. But I'm not giving up. Keep moving forward.

The Beginning
I am starting out today. I'll give you a little background. April of 2008 I underwent gastric bypass surgery. I lost a shitload of weight and feel a whole lot better. However, I slipped back into some of my previous bad habits, which has led to me gaining some of the weight back. I am now, on a journey to get healthy and stay healthy. I put too much stock in the surgery and not enough in my Heavenly Father and what he could do for me. The surgery was a tool only.
Now, with a changed mind and renewed purpose, I am losing the weight again! Day one of my journey is today. I ate breakfast and packed my lunch, which is normal. Didn't do like I should and packed for 6 small meals, but I brought fruit and popcorn for snacks. Maybe it won't be too bad. Regardless, its a start. Today, no exercise until I get off at midnight probably, because i slept too late. Mission is to go to sleep earlier so that I can get up and go to the gym before work.
In addition to weight loss, I have also let my hair go natural, so the growth of my hair is awesome. I am doing twists and afro intermittently. I have a willing twist slave in my best friend which I will be utilizing intermittently. I am so excited about this journey. I'll be updating on all of the changes going on in my life intermittently here.
